Setting:


The property is situated in quiet farmland but is only 1km from the Norman town of Guemene-sur-Scorff.  This pretty town sits on the river Scorff, and is close to the ancient Fôret de Quenecan (8km), and Brittany’s largest lake (Le lac de Guerlédan, 18km).
 Guemene-sur-Scorff has an excellent ‘Intermarche’ supermarket, banks, a post-office, several restaurants, butchers, patisseries, and other shops and amenities. It has a charming town centre made up of a varied mix of historic buildings.

The larger Napoleonic town of Pontivy is a 20 minute drive away, and sits on the Nantes-Brest Canal and the Blavet river.  Pontivy has a thriving centre with many beautiful buildings and shops etc.


The south coast of Brittany is approximately 35 minutes drive away.

Vannes and the Gulf of Morbihan with its many islands and historical site            (54km)
Josselin, a medieval town with a famous chateau and many historic buildings    (40km)Pont-Aven, a small port with art galleries, where Gauguin once painted                  (50km)Concarneau, a busy port with a medieval walled town                                              (58km)Carnac, with its megalithic stone alignments and unique rows of menhirs             (56km).  The property is perfect for a relaxing holiday for all of the family and is a great base from which to explore nearby villages, larger towns, and the beautiful countryside with its forests and lakes.

Lac de Guerledan, close by, provides excellent water sports facilities and beach. Alternatively, there are golf courses, lake & river fishing, horse riding, cycling events and you are central to the North & South coastal sandy beaches where you can enjoy excellent local seafood.
